Our Team
Milad Abla – Owner Milad migrated to Australia from South Lebanon when he was 18, after fleeing the Lebanese Civil War. He completed a degree in civil engineering and worked as an engineer for the next decade before pursuing his love of flavours.
Always passionate about food, whilst studying at university, he worked in kitchens to make ends meet. Once Milad saved enough money he decided to do something of his own and opened up Abla’s Pastries, the original store in Granville, and has never looked back. The traditions, quality and passion for Lebanese pastry making has continued on.
Charbel Abla – Store Manager Charbel, also known as Charlie is Milad’s eldest son. Working alongside his father, Charlie manages and operates the Abla’s store in Granville.
Charlie has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and sub majored in Construction and Economics, and helped to design and renovate the Abla’s store in Granville. Charlie plans to follow in his father’s footsteps and hopes to continue his father’s legacy long into the future of producing premium Lebanese pastries.
